Lowrance® awarded contract with prestigious Swedish boat builder, Uttern

Lowrance®, a world-leading brand in marine electronics since 1957 and GPS navigational systems since 1992, has been awarded the contract to supply one of Scandinavia’s largest and most prestigious boat brands, Uttern, with the impressive Lowrance High Definition System (HDS).

Uttern, part of the world’s largest pleasure boat company, Brunswick, has an impressive tradition in boat building, having produced more than 100,000 boats since the company began in 1964. Today, the company remains at the forefront of the industry and supplies some of the most well equipped boats on the market.

In order to offer their customers the latest state-of-the-art technology available Uttern will now install the HDS-5 (echosounder/chartplotter) unit as standard on all new models.

The HDS-5 is the first unit on the market to combine high definition chartplotter capabilities with Lowrance’s award-winning Broadband Sounder functionality into a compact and easy to install system. It also offers exceptional viewing performance with a high resolution 5”/12.7 cm 256-color SolarMAX™ PLUS daylight display with adjustable screen and keypad backlighting.
